Artist's Description
An imaginative remix of a classic artwork from the public domain of a rainy day in Paris. I stacked digital effects to give it a surrealist feeling of infinite reflections and added raindrops as seen through a glass pane window. I also dulled the colors to enhance the feeling of a stormy day. The scene is everyday life in the 18th century big city of Paris, France with people walking on the streets carrying umbrellas and going about their daily business. Men in frock coats and top hats, ladies in hoop skirts and fancy hats, people riding in horse drawn coaches and crowds of pedestrians going to and fro. The streets are cobblestone pavement and there are hints of elaborate architectural buildings and fancy Victorian era street lamps. The colors are muted shades of blue, pink, beige and greens and I hope the image appeals to history lovers and art collectors as a fresh modern take on a nostalgic scene.
