She is reading a book in the peaceful twilight of the early morning next to a wooden split rail fence. In the distance you can see the rooftops of the houses and trees and green fields of summertime against the pinkish hue of dawn breaking in the eastern sky.
This is photo manipulation edit I did for the edit this 71 contest on fineartamerica hosted by Abbie Shores using a photo of a fence row that she provided. I isolated the fence and plopped it into a vintage painting of the woman reading on the hillside over the village and then I gave the whole thing a softer impressionist treatment. I did the entire edit using Gimp brushes and filters.
I am a life long lover of art and nothing makes me happier than when I am creating it. My style is an eclectic mix of colors and emotions that I believe will offer a little something for everyone. I like to experiment and invent new techniques creating art with my digital tools and one of my goals is always to make digital mixed media artwork that doesn't look digital.
